Other things to note We require completion of a booking agreement. This is a 100% SMOKE FREE PROPERTY - Smoking on the property is strictly prohibited and will be met with a minimum $500 fine. Nestled on a mountain among the trees, this home offers a truly secluded retreat. The only neighbors you may see are the furry kind. Keep in mind that the house is less than a half mile up a mountain, and the road to get to the house is dirt and gravel. There is a steep but short decline to reach the house. Cars towing things may have trouble getting up and down the hill, and in the winter months, 4WD is recommended. Winter Access: AWD is recommended for accessing the property during winter months due to snowfall and ice. Since we are surrounded by woods, there are bears in the area. They come out during the day and night looking for something to eat. Make sure you keep your cars locked! We DO provide firewood for the fire pit. The gas grills, firepits, and pizza oven are allowed year-round. But occasionally there is a burn ban that restricts the use of our wood fire pit. Check buncombenc.gov for the latest on burn bans. We like to ensure the safety of our guests, and due to insurance & liability reasons, we have multiple security cameras around the property that are always on. Life can be unpredictable, and we understand that plans change.
